My Story

Hello…. I’m Graham. I have enjoyed an entire lifetime of dance, as a Principal Dancer with The Royal Ballet Company and in the West End, including Andrew Lloyd Webber's CATS & Song and Dance. I also had the pleasure of playing the diva, karate chopping, French versed Miss Piggy in The Muppet Show sketch, ‘Swine Lake’ with the infamous Rudolf Nureyev! My teaching career has taken me to many UK vocational dance schools, Leicestershire Arts in Education as well my own Dance Activate, Ballet Associates and Aspire Ballet Training.
I came across FitSteps and FitSteps FAB (For All Bodies) whilst on holiday, after I heard about it via a friend. My wife and I decided to go along to see what it was all about….and that was IT! We both absolutely loved it and as soon as we got home, I went straight onto the FitSteps® website and signed up for an instructor course with Ian Parker.
I am now delighted to be a GOLD level qualified FitSteps® and FitSteps® FAB instructor, so that I can pass on this wonderful way of incorporating fitness, dance, movement and music, as well as laughing, and engaging with all my class members. It is a marvellous and uplifting experience to be part of such a community of like-minded people who love to have fun whilst getting fit. It is super to see everyone who takes part becoming so much more confident and making new friends.
Whilst thinking that perhaps I may retire soon, I recently bought some new dance shoes for teaching thinking that they would last me out... BUT guess what? I’ve just bought some new ones! I am delighted and look forward to seeing you in one of my classes.
